Armand Merizon was born in 1920 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and has devoted himself to a full-time career as an artist since 1950. He studied at the Vesper George School of Design in Boston and graduated from Phoenix Scholl of Design, New York, in 1946. He is very well-known and respected in the Midwest and his work can be found in prestigious collections, locally and internationally. Armand is best known for his versatility on both subject matter and style. In recent years, painting has become a slower and more difficult process due to an inherited eye disorder that leaves him with only peripheral vision and impairs his depth perception. Despite this he continues to paint, proving his dedication to and love of painting.
