Mark Williams makes simple functional ceramic forms that are equally beautiful to the eye and pleasing to use. The various leaf designs are obtained by using the actual leaves to make impressions into the wet clay, thus maintaining a fresh, natural look. Besides a few classes he attended at the Art Institute of Chicago, Mark is a self-taught artist who resides in the West Michigan area. He works with stoneware clay and uses lead-free glazes. All of his work is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
