Doug Baker is a West Michigan native – having grown up in Pentwater and attending Western Michigan University. After receiving a BFA degree in Printmaking and Art History he moved to Chicago to pursue his art career. He began working for an art supply company while continuing to paint. In 1996, he and his family returned to West Michigan to be closer to family. Doug is now living in Grand Rapids and devoting his time exclusively to his art work.
