Ann Teliczan studied illustration, graphic design and photography as a student at William James College, a liberal arts college that emphasized philosophical thinking. There, she began pushing the edge of reality with illustration and hand-colored black and white photography. However, she found both photography and illustration too restrictive to achieve her vision. Today Teliczan’s art reflects the world between imagination and reality. With the new mediums now available, she is able to create a new type of hybrid art that was previously unachievable. Teliczan has found this new frontier to be both fascinating and exhilarating.
