Marella Morris grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Focusing mostly on acrylic landscape paintings, she has also worked in watercolor, oil and pastels. Marella looks for inspiration both in the scenery around her and in the memories of places visited in her past. Her paintings hold a strong contrast in light and color which she hopes will invoke an emotional connection between the viewer and the painting. With no formal training and still in the early stages of her art career, Marella plans to continue challenging herself as an artist and expand her knowledge and technique.
