Randy Beumer was born and raised in Utah. There he attended the University of Utah and received his degree in painting. He taught art and bible classes at Intermountain Christian School for a number of years. He also freelances as an illustrator, creating articles for such publications as "The Lutheran". Randy decided to continue his education at Calvin College as a seminary student and has finally been able to re-discover the training he received as a painter. Following the impressionistic style of painting light within the landscape, Randy uses many traditional methods of painting in a contemporary context.
